Inspiring Australians Student Summit

It was so great to be back for my third Inspiring Australians Student Summit, joining more than 500 students from across southern Adelaide and the Fleurieu Peninsula to share my story of founding the South Australian Youth Forum.

I spoke about my experience of starting SAYF at 17 and how leadership isn’t something that only belongs to people with a particular title, position or level of experience. I really wanted to share the idea that leadership exists in all of us, and that often it comes down to the everyday choices we make to show up, start conversations, speak up about what matters to us and take action.

The best part of the day was meeting so many awesome students and hearing their ideas, questions and perspectives. It was so exciting to see the ambition and creativity in the room and to be reminded that so many young people have ideas for how they want to shape their communities and futures.
