It was a privilege to join the 2026 Young Citizens Leadership Forum as a panellist, alongside more than 80 young leaders from communities across South Australia.

I spoke about what it means to be an adaptive leader as a young person, particularly in a world that is constantly changing. For me, leadership is about being willing to pivot, rethink and change direction when circumstances shift, while staying grounded in the values that guide you (I am still learning all of this as I go along!).

I also shared the importance of recognising that changing your approach does not mean losing sight of your purpose. Sometimes adapting is exactly what is needed to ensure your work continues to create meaningful impact in a changing world.

It was a great opportunity to hear from and connect with young leaders from across South Australia who are already turning their ideas into action in their own communities.
